Care guide

We prioritize both sustainability and well-being by carefully selecting fabrics that are kind to both the planet and our health. The majority of our pieces are made from natural materials, reflecting our commitment to conscious, eco-friendly design.

Our collection is designed to be with you for the long haul. Here, we share tips on keeping your pieces looking their best, so they last as beautifully as intended.

Since all our pieces are handmade and feature delicate details, we recommend handling them with care. For best results, we suggest dry cleaning to preserve their quality.

Cotton Fabric

Cotton fabric is known for its softness, breathability, and comfort. It’s durable, easy to maintain, and highly absorbent, making it ideal for various applications. As a natural fiber, cotton is also sustainable and biodegradable, making it an eco-conscious choice.

To properly clean and care for cotton fabric:

-Wash in cold water: This helps prevent shrinkage and preserves the fabric’s color.

-Use mild detergent: Harsh detergents can weaken the fibers and cause fading, so choose a gentle option to protect the cotton.

-Avoid high heat when drying: High temperatures can cause shrinking or distortion. Opt to air dry.

-Iron on medium heat: Iron cotton while it’s still slightly damp to smooth out wrinkles without damaging the fibers. Make sure to avoid high heat, as it can scorch the fabric.

-Store in a cool, dry place: Keep cotton fabric away from direct sunlight and humidity to prevent fading and deterioration over time.

Linen fabric

Linen fabric is renowned for its breathability, moisture-wicking properties, and durability, making it ideal for warm climates. It becomes softer with each wash and is naturally resistant to bacteria and allergens. As a sustainable material, linen is made from the flax plant, requiring fewer resources and chemicals to produce, making it an environmentally friendly choice.

To properly clean and care for linen fabric:

-Wash in Cool Water: Always wash linen in cool water to prevent shrinkage and preserve the fibers. Avoid hot water, as it can cause the fabric to lose its strength and shape.

-Use Mild Detergent: Choose a gentle, mild detergent that’s free of bleach or harsh chemicals to avoid damaging the fibers and fading the fabric.

-Avoid Overloading the Washer: To allow the linen to move freely and prevent it from becoming too wrinkled or tangled, wash linen in smaller loads.

-Air Dry: For best results, air dry linen by laying it flat or hanging it to dry. High heat can damage the fabric and cause shrinkage.

-Iron While Damp: Linen wrinkles easily, so it’s best to iron it while it’s still slightly damp. Set the iron to medium heat and press the fabric gently. Ironing when dry can make it more difficult to smooth out the wrinkles.

-Avoid Fabric Softener: Linen is naturally soft, and fabric softeners can coat the fibers, leading to reduced breathability and strength. Instead, let the fabric soften naturally over time.

-Store Properly: Store linen in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Excessive exposure to sunlight can cause fading and weaken the fabric. Linen should be folded neatly to avoid unwanted creases.

-Spot Clean When Necessary: For minor stains, spot clean linen with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Gently blot the stain instead of rubbing it to avoid damaging the fabric.

Following these steps will help keep your linen fabric looking fresh and durable for years to come.
